LittleLog is a local-first app. Your baby's logs, photos, medications and milestones are stored in a private database on your own device. There is no LittleLog account and no LittleLog server — we never receive, see, or store your tracking data. This policy explains exactly what stays on your device, the few optional services that involve a network, and the choices you control.
1.Who we are
LittleLog (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is an Android application published by Edward (Rango Tech), an independent developer. For any privacy question or a data request, email allen07edwarddev@gmail.com.
2.Data stored on your device
Everything you enter is saved only in the app's private storage on your phone. This includes:
- Baby profile: name, date of birth, sex (optional), photo, birth weight/length.
- Activity logs: diapers, bottle/breast feeds, sleep, solids, temperature, custom logs, notes and times.
- Medications and dose history, including reminder schedules.
- Milestone photos and captions.
- Photos you attach, which remain as image files on your device.
- App settings and preferences.
3.What we do not do
- No account or sign-up to use the app.
- No selling or renting of your information — ever.
- No behavioral or usage analytics on your baby's data.
- No tracking of your activity across other apps or websites by us.
4.Local backups you control
You can export a full backup as a single file (ZIP) and share or store it yourself, and import it later. These files are created at your request and are handled entirely by you — we never receive them.
5.Optional Google Drive backup
If you choose to turn it on, LittleLog can back up your data to your own Google Drive. Important details:
- It is off by default and only runs after you sign in with your Google account and enable it.
- Backups are stored in the Google Drive “app data” folder — a hidden area private to LittleLog. It is not visible in your normal Drive and other apps cannot read it.
- The data goes to your Google account. The developer has no access to your Drive or your backups.
- LittleLog requests only the
drive.appdatapermission — it cannot see, read, or modify any of your other Google Drive files. - You can delete these backups at any time from within the app (“Clear all backups”) or from your Google account.
Google's handling of data in your account is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. LittleLog's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
6.Third-party services
To keep the app free and reliable, LittleLog uses a small number of Google/Android services. These may process limited technical data as described below. They do not receive your baby's logs, photos or notes.
| Service | Purpose | Data involved |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob | Shows a single banner ad in the app. | Advertising ID and device/ad-request information, used by Google to serve ads. See the Google Ads policy. You can reset or limit your advertising ID in your device settings. |
| Firebase Crashlytics | Reports crashes so we can fix bugs. | Crash diagnostics only: app version, device model, OS version, stack traces and a random installation identifier. No tracking data is included. |
| Google Play services (in-app review & updates) |
Offers an optional review prompt and in-app update. | Handled by Google Play; we receive no personal data from these prompts. |
7.Permissions and why we ask
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
| Camera & photo selection | So you can attach photos to a profile, log entry or milestone. Photos stay on your device. |
| Notifications & alarms | To deliver medication and dose reminders on time, even when the screen is locked. |
| Internet & network state | Only for the optional Google Drive backup, crash reporting, and the banner ad. No tracking data is sent. |
| Run after restart / ignore battery optimizations | To make sure scheduled reminders still fire reliably after the phone reboots or sleeps. |
8.Children's data
LittleLog is a tool for parents and caregivers to record information about their own child. It is not directed to children and is not intended to be used by children. Because the information is stored on your device and controlled by you, you remain in control of your child's data at all times.
9.Data retention and deletion
- Your data stays on your device until you delete it.
- Deleting a baby removes that baby and all of its events, medications, doses, milestones and custom logs.
- Uninstalling the app removes the local database from your device.
- Google Drive backups remain in your account until you clear them from the app or from your Google account.
10.Security
Your data is kept in the app's private, sandboxed storage, which other apps cannot read. Network connections to Google services use encrypted (HTTPS) transport. No method of storage or transmission is ever 100% secure, but keeping data on-device by default is the core of how LittleLog protects it.
11.Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “Last updated” date. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
